Summer’s here and that means it’s time for fun in the sun! Whether you’re heading to the beach, campsite, or local park, outdoor fun is all around you. You don’t have to break the bank either. From vacations to staycations, we’ve got you covered with three of our favorite summer activities. Pack your favorite snacks, hat, and sunglasses—and don’t forget the sunscreen, bug spray, and water!
Day Hikes
Day hikes don’t have to be strenuous to be enjoyable or effective. The whole point is to enjoy being outside, explore an urban or natural environment, unplug from your routine, and still put your feet up at the end of the day. Meditative solo strolls or catching up with friends, at home and on vacation, day hikes are a great way to discover local neighborhoods, explore architecture, and connect with nature—all while getting your steps in and clearing your mind.

Sand & Surf
Let’s face it, summer was made for a trip to the beach. There’s something about feeling the sand between your toes, splashing around in the ocean, and hearing the waves lap against the shore that almost instantly relaxes us. It’s why so many of us take beach vacations. Choose from water and land activities, get creative with a sand castle, stroll along the boardwalk, enjoy the rides and arcade, or just meditate with the flow of the tide. The beach also makes for great photos to make all your friends jealous!
