How did you get into wellness, both personally and professionally?
My personal journey to wellness began after college when I discovered how important exercising was to mental health and quality of life. Like a lot of people, different seasons of life have had me in-and-out of regular fitness routines, but personally I am a better person, mom, and wife when I am on track with my health and wellness, and professionally it brings me joy to help others look and feel their best.
What excites you most about being part of Level?
Over the years as a nurse and nurse practitioner, I have worked in wellness, hormone optimization, weight loss, and aesthetics. Level brings all these specialties together and pairs the services with other professionals, which will offer clients so much value. I am excited to be a part of the vision!
How did you get into nursing, and what will you be doing as Level's nurse practitioner?
As a child I was always a "caretaker" and I enjoyed helping people feel good. On career day in second grade I decided I wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. I jokingly now say it "stuck" because I never realized I could change my mind. But the reality is after years of hard work becoming a nurse and then nurse practitioner, I am living out my calling.
My passion for taking care of people continues, and that is what I am most excited about at Level Wellness. I get to not just make people better, but I get to educate and empower clients to live healthier and understand that quality is what makes a quantity of life enjoyable. The choices we make in our 30s and 40s help determine our longevity. But positive choices for healthy living exist at any age. I am excited to be a part of a team that is continually working to help the Level clients live their best and healthiest lives.
What misconceptions about wellness do you wish people understood?
That it’s not all or nothing. Wellness is very personal and different for all of us. A wellness journey is one maintainable change at a time, which leads to a lifestyle that fuels us and makes us feel our best.
